Overview:
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker treating adults who experience burn-out,
chronic-stress, or trauma to overcome fear and distress and live fulfilling lives.
When the pandemic began, I realized the emotional impact on therapists, nurses, doctors,
teachers, and parents- and the list goes on. I believe our previous way of life
(pre-pandemic) wasn’t working in the first place. Burn-out and chronic-stress are not new,
however, our previous way of life lead us to a breaking point once the pandemic came.
We know many are turning their lives around, adjusting their to-do lists, and taking more
time to care for themselves. Out of these observations and research, I decided to leave
my full-time position and move back into the therapy chair.

My approach:
I use compassion and understanding to assist clients in finding the answers they need. I don’t prescribe to “giving advice”, however, I do look to the evidence-based practices (Yay! Science!) to guide us on the right path. The goal in all of the treatments I provide is to "get better at feeling" not necessarily to "feel better".
We all have a variety of emotions on any given day and often-times we shy away from them, cringing when the uncomfortable ones arise. My approach is to help you to identify what to do with those emotions and in many instances, lean into them while also finding what brings you joy. Lastly, humor is often part of my sessions- I find that we often need a bit of a break from the intense emotions that tend to come up throughout the difficult work.
